After my graduation as DVM in Utrecht (2000), I worked as a poultry field veterinarian in the Netherlands for 3 1/2 years. in 2003 I started a MSc of Veterinary Epidemiology, and in 2004 I changed job, to start a PhD project at Utrecht University, combined with teaching of Poultry Health as junior lecturer. In 2009, the year I finalized my PhD thesis, titled "Campylobacter colonization in broilers", I started in Nutreco, as Scientist Poultry Nutrition, working in Toledo, Spain. From 2014 till January 2017 I was responsible for the Global R&D activities in Cargill Animal Nutrition. February 2017 I joined German based EW Nutrition, an additive company, as Head of Global Technical Management Poultry, and in that role I will leverage both my nutritional and veterinary expertise in supporting the local technical teams and direct advice to key customers.
